| | How can I post images? « Thread Started on Oct 22, 2005, 12:05am » | |
To post images you first must have a website to host your images. Copying the URL from the image saved on your computer will not work. Also hosting sites such as yahoo also will not work. I would recommend the following free sites: Photobucket Fotki (Fotki doesn't allow free hotlinking) Image Shack
Once you start a free photo album with one of these sites, the next step is to upload them to your photo album. If you're using Photobucket (recommended). Click the browse button and select the desired saved image on your computer to be uploaded. Then click the "Submit" button. The image will then show up in the album. To post the image, simply go to the forums, click "Reply To Topic" then copy and paste the URL of the desired image in between two [img] signs like so (no spaces) :
[ img ] URL of image [ /img ]
NOTE - Images must have an extension (.jpg, .png, .gif) and the URL's must contain no special characters.
If your images dont appear to be applying, this will most likely be the cause of your problem

Hi Dan...OK, I do have Photobucket. Is that considered a website as well as a host or do I need something else?
