Hello people ! ... just thought I would introduce myself. My name's Nick, I live in one of the most picturesque parts of the UK, Derbyshire. I'm a retired firefighter, hence the handle on the posting. I'll build anything which I feel is interesting, although i've recently been drawn to the dark side and started building military subjects in 1:35 ... got the guntruck bug at the moment! On the bench is a 1:16 scale traction engine from Bandai, it won't be finished as a complete vehicle, more of a restoration diorama. It started as a box of bits, in fact 2 boxes of bits from 4 built models, more of a salvage operation really. Hope to post a few pictures of the progress from time to time.
Nick.

A ship is safe in harbour, but that is not what ships are built for.

Hi Nick, Welcome to the forum. Hi Jim, what's your main subject then? ... going to SMW? ... if you are, drop in at the Derby & District stand for a chat!
