Great Job on it! It really looks nice! I like how you scratchbuilt the antenna, very creative! Got any more shots, like the interior or engine bay? By the way, what are metal transfers?

Metal transfers are the neatest things!! If you've ever used Shabo tire markings they are very similar only made of metal! Very shiny as well, if you look at the build, the 1300 on the trunk and the VW logo on the hood are the transfers. Here's a shot of the engine! The mudflaps are provided in the kit. I BMFd them and then painted them Testors Acrylic flat black and scraped that off the raised areas. Here's the interior...a little bit blurry, though. I also opened up the little area over the map pocket on the driver's door...It gives just the right amount of shading to it I think!

From the looks of the pics your VW wants to be a dune buggy when it grows up Nice build.

Excellent build, I have the same kit in the stash [not a regular car modeller], that I hope to do 'One Day'
If I may offer a tip:- with the tail lights and front indicators, put a piece of BMF behind the clear part of the kit, . As your model is silver it would make the lights a little more realistic.

Wow! That is a great looking Bug. Very realistic looking. I don't know how I missed it on here. My Dad used to own Bugs all of the time and they were great fun.
