77 Stang II asphalt modified

This started out as a Street build but turned into an asphalt modified. The body is from the new Kit release and the frame is from the 34 modified kit. The interior back deck was replaced and the two support bars were added. The dash was also replaced with aluminum, guages and switches were added along with an engine warning light. The front suspension was also replaced and new were scratch built. Brakelines were added along with disc brakes at all four corners. The Mag is from Detail Master and the Aircleaner is a Parts by Parks item. The tires are kit tires sanded and the wide5 racing wheels are from JMAC Engineering, shot with alclad. Man....I think I got it all in there!!! Here are a few pics of the build.

The Roof # has been replaced as it splintered on me. I worked with it for about an hour but couldn't save it. Oh well, there's a new one on there now. Thanks for looking folks.

Hey Animal....thank you for the compliment bud! Grab a modified kit and put that puppy together! It's a blast!! I know it's not a cookie, but it IS pretty sweet when you get it done!! ;D

Sweet little modified. Great combination of kits and aftermarket. Did you sand the complete tire including sidewalls to get that "dull" sheen to them? This is really one awesome build. Love those short track modifieds.

Thanks Gasser. Yes I did sand the whole tire. I used a 3/8 drill and chucked up a bolt from lowes in it. Then used a nut and washer combo on each side of the tire wall,to hold it from slipping, and then went to town.
