Thankls weeegs!!!! Nope that's just good old Testors enamels over a thoroughly cleaned body & hood....Hey I've ben doing this for over 40 years, & I used to paint cars for a living... LOL Anyawys here's the 99% finished chassis, I still need to add the stiffeners form the firewall to the front of the frame.... Thanks for lookin!!!! ;D

Well I'm a welder & metal fabricator by trade, & did the same thing as an airframe mechanic in the U.S. Air Force, which is where I learned how to paint, then I painted boats for Wellcraft power boats, painted trucks, when I was with the carnival, then I combined everything when I moved to Springfiled Mass, & started doing autobody/painting for a living... I'd reccommend that you check out trade schools in your area.... Bodymen/painters are ALLWAYS gonna be needed.... ;D

;DThanks John.... Here's the mostly finished engine, it still needs the belt/pulley, fuel pump, & headers.... I used Dullcoat on the injector stacks & valve covers to simulate aluminum.... ;D

Here's the finished chassis w/engine.... The front whels & all the tires are parts box, this one has the plastic wheels in the kit.... I also dullcoated the chrome on the front wheels, & painted the rears.... ;D

Thanks Gary!!!! That's the kit engine..... I just did some detail painting & added plugwires.... Hey, no problem on the advice, I don't mind helping somebody that's trying to help themselves.... BTW I joined your site.... ;D

Wow...that is a nice build. I like the older racing cars a lot better than the new. You did an awesome job on it. My parents used to have a '65 Falcon...but it was nothing like that! Jerry
