This is, by far, my all-time favorite street rod kit. Monogram outdid themselves when they came out with the 37 Ford and I love building the different variations of this kit. I modified a few things on this kit, most notably the engine. This car has a 350 Tuned Port from the Monogram 86 Monte Carlo SS kit. The TPI unit in that kit really builds into a nice replica and looks pretty good sitting between the fenders of this street rod. The car was painted from rattlecans and I used black metallic and Boyd's True Blue Pearl. I also installed a set of Corvette ZR1 taillights out back and used some amber cab marker lamps for the front turn signals. I used tamiya's clear smoke to tint the headlights as well. I also installed the door handles to replicate suicide doors. There wasn't really much extensivce scratchbuilding on this, just alot of little nit-noid things I did and altered to give it the appearance of what today's street rods look like.
