Wow thats so real looking! especially the large metal trim area in the rear, your weathering looks really good!

IMO it is a original dio.
i like the curled up plastic on the right front.
i made a junkyard dio for abandod Chicago fire apparatus.
looking forward to see pics of the progress on your dio.

I like the weathering, it looks like a car that has set for years and belonged to one of those "I am going to restore it...Someday" guys.
I have been building some junkers for a junk-yard dio that is in the planning stages also.

Hans ... superb reference photos! ... lot's to look at and drool over. Incidentally, I have a few test shots of the new Trumpeter fire truck, I've mailed them direct ... I got them from a friend here in the UK but not sure if they're copywrited on another site, therefore, don't want to post them here just in case.
