RAAF Hawk 127 - progress

G'day,

This Bird is the RAAF's 'Leadup Trainer' it's the 48 Airfix BAE Hawk and built as per box, but with exception of adding my own resin seats [cast for the F-18 Hornet], fitted to the model subject, the scheme is one applied in 2002 for an aniversary of the Squadron and seen at the Airshow Downunder in the same year.

When first seen it was dicribed as 'Skippy meets the Black Panther'.

How is the Airfix kit going together

The kit goes together well as expected for Airfix, little filling on the fuselage, around the intake joints and the wing tip rail mounts, like I have fitted, the plastic is a little soft, but it's the subject being built so I put up with the pitfalls.

The scheme in real life is awesome.

In real life it looks awesome in these markings, I did have a pic of it but sadly lost it when HDD quite, I'll contact my RAAF photo person and ask him for a few shots of it.
