:oAs usual, an outstanding build, I am not qualified to make any judgement . But.. since u asked ;D, lol, nah, it looks great, it is prolly my eyes, which happen to be 20/10 but..ummm, the headlight? I don't see no dark in there. the only other thing I see is the opening on the turret top for the ...drat, cannot think of the name, a defensive weapon, has a long name, had it around here somewhere, a weird looking pistol? well NVM, there be a hole in the turret top Steve, or is it supposed to be there?? I like your figures, my LHS has no decent figures for tanks, you do a great job on them, I am going to do my first figure for this King, did u use reg paint or oils on yours?? Basically, how did u do it?? Your Tiger is baaaad a** Steve, I am glad there is some1 who believes in proper weathering, I didn't want to add all the weathering I did on mine, guess I got suckered in, HA, I seen pix of STuGs in Eastern Europe that have been sitting out in weather in yards and farms, the woods, for 60 odd years and they do not look as "rusty" as alot of AFV builders make their "in-service" vehicles look!!

Hey Bill, Thanks for the comments, looks like you're the only one on this site? The center headlight does have black wash on the slit, I dunno, maybe the lighting/bad pictures??? As far as the mine launcher opening, I left it open on purpose. Command tanks did a lot of hiding in the woods, more communicating than shooting, so the Niebelungunswerfer is "cocked and locked" in case we get jumped by some froggy infantry or resistance fighters. As far as the figures, I used acrylics, Tamiya and Gunze. I always base coat them completely with Krylon "barbeque black" from a rattle can first. It is an ultra matte black that serves as a starting point and allows me to get shadowing and definition, especially in the faces. If I'm depicting the Panzer black uniform, the stuff is really great because it is textured when dry to give the look of "material instead of paint over plastic. I got a little flak over on finescale because I didn't mount the bow machine gun, or the AA mount and gun, but my reference pictures show "008" without these so ......maybe I'll put the bow gun in to plcate the FSM boys. Well, onto the next build, either a Pz lll or a Colean Panther? haven't made up my mind, what do you think? regards, Steve

Nice Tiger Steve, the weathering is excellent. As far as the MGs go I wouldn't do anything to placate anyone, if anything I would explain that the vehicle in the referance didn't have 'em mounted and leave it.

HA!! I told you I wasn't qualified! I knew when I was typing last night that you wouldn't miss that. and I completely agree with the grenade launcher! The remarks apparently made by the "experts" on FSM just prove my point. They would rather sound important than submit to the truth! They should know this fact if they read their "expert tank books". I knew there was a reason when I saw it, then finally figured it out when I realized the tank I was looking at! The "heavy weathering" on my King was the last thing I will ever do to placate those ppl!! I am toying with the idea of un-weathering the King just for spite and show it, and say why! Anyway, it's none of my business, it is your tank! well Steve, be good and have fun, BillAnd YES, I think you and I are the only ones in the armor section, but thats ok, I feel better here. One day it is going to be just as crowded as FSM, ansd I will be looking back on this and sigh.

You have a very nice example here. I am amazed at the Zim and the way you applied it. The figures are very convincing also . Especially the tank commander. You have a good eye for detail. Bravo.

Top! The Tiger is a beauty and the figurines are awesome! Maybe the texture of the fabrics is captured a little bit to shiny? As usual, extra ordinary Thank you. Johan
