alright, here's the finished product!
This is Dragon's offering. It was a great kit to put together, and I think with the added patience with the PE I was able to finish all of the PE withough missing anything!!! The barrel is plastic to capture the rifling which the aluminum didn't have, the seams turned out really well I think. The decals were the hardest part (on the turret) I had to use alot of the two step microsol and microset solutions MANY MANY times to get them to sit like that, but the end result ended in a painted on appearance. The only thing I've fixed since looking at these pics are the faces of the figs. The commander looks too pale, almost like he had no shading. While he did, the picture was obviously telling me that I needed to add more for it to show up. The grainy texture on the loader was fixed using a glaze of MM Acrylic Shadow tint since the pic was taken. I've also added a jacket hanging off the front left hook and a helmet hanging off of the other (both spares from the Tiger I initial that I have). There is also snow on the mud as it is at the beginning of the frost and the end of Barbarossa as on offensive! This was going to be my competition piece until it got broken on the way while avoiding an accident with an ignorant driver, that has happend since the pictures were taken. Alright, I hope you like it as much as I liked putting this beastie together!!! Oh you'll see in the pics a floating wheel or two, that's because the suspension was glued to match the groundwork of the base that I had made for this kit
