Here is the article I wrote a couple of years ago on how to make cheap pine trees. This is the method I used to make those trees in my vinette dio under in the diorama forum under military. Enjoy: Hope it is useful to you all www.digitaldioramas.com/2002/issue5/dd_pinetrees.htm

Charles, That was a brilliant article you wrote about pine trees. Had I seen it last year I would have taken more time in producing my road scene. members.leylandtown.info/jim/web/Road Lay-Out 11.jpg[/img] it took me all of five minutes to produce my `forrest`. I simply cut twigs from the fir tree and stuck them into the grass. I think that I`ll put a remake of the scene on my `things to do` list for next sping and take a little more time in trying to make it look more realistic. Jim

Much obliged. Pretty cool road scene. Are you by any chance working in 1/48 scale or something around that number?

Charles, It`s 1:24th scale. Every single thing I`ve built is to that scale although I`ve been tempted to try some 1:25th from time to time. There are some model trucks that I like but don`t appear to be made in 1:24. Do you (or any one else) know how the two scales would sit side by side?

Great tutorial, thanks! Do you (or any one else) know how the two scales would sit side by side? Sorry. I havn't a clue. Pretty big scale. Sitting side by side, no problem at all,I doubt you would be able to tell the difference.

Thanks Dan, That opens up a whole new range of trucks. I didn`t want to go ahead and buy one only to find that the two scales were obviously different.
