71 Mustang

Helllo Everybody. It has been a little while since I posted. I have a 1971 Mustang Fastback that I have been working on. It doesn't look the best, but it isn't too bad to show. At least I have finished another...well, mostly finished. It still needs the mirrors, rear bumper, and headlights. The headlights were too large and I am still trying to figure out the best way to do them. Oh, and pictures really let you know where you have made mistakes too, as is plain to see on the engine pulley that still has red showing through. Let me know what you think.

Hey Weird Willie, sorry it took me so long to respond. I used a Testor's spray-bomb called silver-blue. It does look green, perhaps it is due to the gray primer I used on the body...I was a little taken aback at first but like it with the black accents. Thanks for looking.

Thanks Jerry. I know what you mean about the gray primer. I get the same result from time to time. But even the lighting can affect it sometimes

Spray Bomb ? Im Confused lol

Hey weeeg...spray bomb=spray paints. I believe we got to calling them spray bombs because they can blow with heat...as in from a fire...and the paint really sprays too! Also can be known as rattle cans. Sorry about that.

Nice looking Mustang, ya, primers can really affect the true color something fierce huh? and especially in cars I see.
Have never built a car yet..but as I keep looking in here at everyones' cars I am just gonna have to build one, it looks like way too much fun, especially the painting, that is the part I really love, I try to be patient building but...so hard not to hurry so I can get to the painting part, ha,

Great engine!! Great paint job too....How about a Great picture of the 71 Pony with its Hood Open so We can also see the engine too!......................Love the Color!!

Here are a few more pictures, the engine bay is pretty bare really but it doesn't look too bad. As you can see it still needs headlights, mirrors and the rear bumper put on...all in good time.
