Hello all, This is my first post to the forum. I just completed Heller's 1/72 CL215 waterbomber/airtanker and have included the photos below. The kit was a struggle from stsrt to finish and I must say I am not too happy with building Heller kits - BUT they do have some of the harder to get birds such as Canadair's 215 and 415. My 215 was finished in the livery of my home province (Newfoundland & Labrador, Canada). I'd like to acknowledge Leading Edge Decals for an excellent rendition of the livery. The last couple of photos show the 215 with my 415 (an earlier build) that was finished in French Forest Service markings (OOTB). Enjoy...... RODC

I have been a big fan of fire bombers since 1969. That's when I got out of high school and went to work at our local airport in Tulare, CA. There was an agricultural flying company, Moore Aviation, that also had a fire fighting company, TBM, Inc.. I use to go out to Sequoia Field and look at the Avengers, Flying Fortress' and Tigercats. They are still in business to this day flying C-54s, DC-6s, DC-7s and C-130s. Nice builds, both of them. I have been thinking of trying to find those kits since I saw one of the CL-415's do a demonstration for the Oklahoma Division of Forestry in Broken Bow, OK. What a job they can do!
