I quit just over a year ago... I'd smoked since I was 8 years old and was caught smoking Wild Grape Vine in Oklahoma while visiting my Grand parents in Wister Oklahoma...
My Dad came home from work and found me and two Buddy's smoking the grape Vine behind the barn... Its what the Hobos smoked and every kid wanted to be a Hobo when I was 8 years old in Oklahoma.. "They got to ride the fright cars and went everywhere in the country" They would tell us stories about their fun times....We kids would go in our house's and get food and take a chicken from the coop or veggies from the garden and all go to the Hobo camp and they would fix us all dinner!.. We ate dinner and lunch with them in the summer on vacation.. They would brake off a piece of grape vine and stick it into the fire and then smoke it while telling us stories..(No TV's then)...So... We did that too! Smoked Grape Vine..My Dad did too when he was a little boy......My Dad smoked Prince Albert tobacco in the can and rolled his own and also smoked Camels when he got paid....He rolled a prince Albert cigarette and lit it and stuck it in my mouth and told me to take a big puff and take a deep breath! I did and blew a smoke ring like the hobos did.. Then after the cigarette was finished, he took out a Camel and lite it up and stuck it in my mouth and told me to do the same thing with it..I did and loved the taste of it.. He said: Well if you can smoke Prince Albert and a Camel too, heres my pack of Camels, their yours and I'd been smoking ever sinse...Until last year the Dr said I had a Murmur in my heart and had to stop so I could have open heart surgery to replace my Aorta valve....Nothings wrong with my lungs, but I haven't started again....The Dr gave me "Wellbutrin" to take to stop smoking to expensive now, they were only .15 Cents a pack when I started and .10 cents a pack in the Army now what? $6.00 a pack in a machine?$50.00 in a store when you buy a carton?...And it also stopped me from wanting & enjoying a beer too.... Whats a smoke with out a beer or a beer with out a smoke?!...Ive gained 60 pounds, but don't drink beer or smoke any more! ha,ha.. I'm working on the weight problem now, being in a wheelchair after loosing my right leg to staph infection from having to have both knee's replaced after my wreck in my Tractor Trailer that crushed both legs...
IF you would like to Stop Smoking, ask your Dr for "Wellbutrin"
(if you can take it)....It stopped me from wanting one in One Day!!
I still take my two pills a day... When I stop I want a smoke & a beer real Bad!! Now I'm addicted to Wellbutren ha,ha...but can be weaned off them!
Good Luck stopping your smoking habit... It worked for me and a few more I have turned them on to ask their Dr's and they have all quit too.....

Thats good that your off them RC  Im off them since march and im only 15! lol its too easy to get hooked i started because my friends done it ..... Now i regret it ! 3 months on and im still craving...... Good God its hard! Anyway Its good your off themwe could all do without them the smoking ban cant come too soon in britian |

Tell your Mom you love her and want her to be here with you when you grow up and you heard a man stopped smoking with help from his Doctor.. He gave the man Wellbutran and in one day he stopped smoking after smoking up to 3 packs a day for over 50 years!.. She will stop Smoking using them, but she will have to see her Dr. first!... He or she needs to see if your Mom can take Wellbutran... Its not for everyone.Some people can't take them, thats why she needs to see her Dr....And she also has to want to stop!....The Dr can also give her other pills to take if the Wellbutran is not for her....
Good luck..I hope you can convince her she needs to stop so you can have her with you when you grow up and get married and have your kids.....Evey kid needs to be around their grandparents..... "RC"

Good luck to you too Weeeg. I see your working hard on stopping your smoking too..Thats how I got started my Bud's were smoking so I started too Its a expensive habit that can kill ..I guess everywhere in the world now its coming to no more smoking ...Hopfully one day the world Will be smoke free!.......Its a hard habit to quit! but their finding out more and more everyday about second hand smoke hurting others too....When I was a child they didn't know that much and even advertised "More Doctors smoke Camels than and other brand"...I had to laugh when I was in the hospital, the nurses and Doctor's sitting out side in the rain smoking their cigarettes on the patio!.... Doctors and Nurses Still Smoking?!  ..I find that very Bazaar don't you?...ha,ha...Hang in there and keep trying....Good luck...
