my name being Gregory, or Greg for short, lasses that i have dated seem to like calling me Gregers as a pet name so it kinda stuck with me, also i used to use this handle in amusement arcades when i got my name up on high scores. on a couple of other forums i use Landyman (i am a landrover enthusiast, and own two of them), i started using this one because i signed up on an aviation forum and the name Gregers had already been taken.

I got my nickname in 1967 while stationed at Cu Chi RVN. I did something to some of the officers while there and my First Sgt called me an animal just before I was promoted. It had something to do with a chocolate layer cake of sorts. ;D

Mine is a direct transliteration of the hyroglyphs for the egyptian god Anubis, the 1 just there to give it enough charachters to meet their requirements. Figured it was a good one to use because one of my passions is anchient egyptian religion and culture. The other beeing modeling, my kids, and my wife (not necesarily in that order).

I chose coldwar68 because I am a history geek, my favorite time period is WWII but everything I always tried to use was taken. I was born in 1968 and the coldwar was still going on at that time so if figured...hey, what about fockewulf190...oops, wrong story! Jerry

Well my real name's Ken McIntire, & I'm also a gun collector.... One of my favorite handguns is my Smith & wesson Mod 19 .357 magnum, which is a "K" frame, hence the first letter of my name, & the model # of one of my guns-k357 ;D

I was a tanker in the Canadian army.. Gunner to be exact, soooo I figured I'd fly my flag (like in prison ) to attract my brothers from all nations who served in the stell coffins that served as our homes!

I love rock music and Stargazer is a song by Ritchie Blackmores Rainbow from the late seventies. Deep Purples Smoke on the Water and Lynyrd Skynyrds Freebird would be my 2 favourite tracks of all time though.

When I first joined the fire service back in the 70's, it seemed that it was a tradition for every fireman to have a nickname. Well, by the end of the three month training period, all the guys on the course had their nickname, then some bright spark suggested 'nick' for me ... nick - name ... play on the word? ... oh well??
The name stuck for the next 27 years. And the southsix1? ... well, that was the call sign for the first truck I rode all those years ago in Liverpool, got to make a model of that truck one day ... ah! memories ...
