Then I checked out eHobbyland... I found the "Vulcan" for $16.00!..The one with that 20mm Gatling Gun?! And the "Big Foot" 6X6 Truck for $16.99 too!.... Plus! They had the "AFV Club M-548A Gun Truck/Supply Carrier" too, for $28.99!..& the German Field kitchen for $7.99.... I bought Them all!!.... OG,LMAO..."I Sure Love being Single!".... LOL...With S&H the total for all was: $188.44.... For all Six Models, the Mortar Team, and the Sand Bags too.... I hope your weekend was as much fun as Mine!.......
PS....They are early B-day presents to me from my 3 Kitty's for next Month....When I turn 39 again, for the 28th time !!!......LOL

Well... Sad news came in a e- mail from Megahobby, they don't have the Oshkosh M977 anymore either internetthobby and megahobby both have said now: that they are not in production anymore...I'd ordered a 1:35th 6X6 Army truck just in case, so I can use the bed on the Oshkosh M978 fuel tanker, and will use the fuel tank to build the 6X6 into a fuel tanker....All is well after all LOL.....Megahobby is replacing it with their RVG 3044 Germain MAN 10-ton 8X8 Modern Military Truck with Crane by Revell....

Well, the M-977 is well under way..Frame is looking good, went together smooth as silk...Spring hangers no problem.....Attaching the two rear axles at first was on shaky ground with the drive shaft and hooking the front and rear axles to the spring hangers all at the same time, then the front spring hangers and front and rear axles and drive shafts, all four axles, and the four drive shafts are hooked up nicely... But gonna need to putty the holes where the springs and axle hooks up..Big gap in middle where the axle hooks to the spring, the slot is bigger than the hook up point..... Took pictures as I was working and saw there were pictures left on it from my Youngest Sons Graduation from the Sheriff's Academy that I had already downloaded, but didn't delete .... And as I deleted the those pictures, I also deleted the WIP (work in progress) pic's too.... Well, I took some more shot's of the finished frame and axles and drive shafts LOL...Along with the Box Art on the top of the M-977's box top....Kinda of a picture of whats being built for my Kid's and Grand kid's to see what Pop's working on this time.... Okay, I'll take More WIP pictures Tomorrow and try again to figure out why I'm not getting them on here too.. I can send them on my E-Mails, but haven't figured this one out yet! Still not that Putter Savy.....Still learning, more and more everyday about this PC....Hard to believe I've lived all these years with out one! When its in for repairs I'm lost now with out it ha,ha...I really am starting to believe that all a Man really needs is a good computer and a stack of models!.....I'm talking about a Old Man ha,ha... Maybe I'll send them to you Jim, and you can post them for me... ha,ha!

RC Sorry, Don`t know how , but I missed seeing your posting of the 22nd. I`ll post any photos you want, with pleasure. Just e-mail them to me. All you need to do it yourself is to have a web host (I use Photobucket - although there are many others). If you need an A to Z on how to go about it - just shout and I`ll put a step by step sheet together for you. Jim

Okay Thanks Jim I've got photo bucket too...But have to down load the new pic's I'm taking as build this M-977 Its coming along great.I moved it back into my work shop..Ive been building it in the kitchen so I could watch TV too, but its now time to fire up the air Brush and do the frame, axles, and what Ive done to it so far....But being So Hot in here the A/C don't hit this room! I'll have To wait a bit.. So I'm holding off paint and back in kitchen to building the cab, flat bed, etc..... Soon as I'm up to speed, I'll send you photos, then you can walk me through it ...Oh! Wait I see what you mean.. Okay, please send a walk me through it when you get a chanch..I'm in no hurry yet, its still WIP and needs to be painted, so when its convenient for you, I'd appreciate your help......Thanks Oh I forgot to tell you I received the MAN 10 German four axle 8 wheeled truck with Crane yesterday at noon from Megahobbie.com via UPS...This one is Super and has Real rubber tires and separate wheels..I do wish all the military models had the rubber tires, and the separate wheels..Even the road wheels on the Tanks should be separate and have hard rubber road tires....For what we pay for them they should! IMHO LOL...
Thanks "RC"

RC, They look great. Building them should keep you out of mischief for a week or two LOL. I try to support my local shops, but how can you when you can buy the same artical (brand new) for about half the price on eBay? My local store is one of the UK`s largest hobby shops and I always bought there. The lowest price for an Italeri or Revell truck was about £25.50 (of which I bought quite a few). Since joining eBay, the average price has dropped to about £15 and that figure only includes the brand new, unopened ones. I feel a little guilty about my local store, but at those prices -what else can I do? Jim

Yep, you can only support your LHS just so far!! Mine is 100 miles round trip, Diesel fuel is $3.15 per gal This week! So its much cheaper to buy on line and what I save in fuel, I spend in shipping so its basically the same, just not the wear & tare on my pick-up truck....."RC"

Sometimes he's worse than a Wife wanting attention! LOL Had to wait till he went to bed again!...The other two cats don't get up here, only Boo my big Black Cat.....He finds all the parts I loose to the rug monster, I see him playing with the lost parts.... After I fill his chew marks it's as Good as new ha,ha....

Hey guys Please!!..Lets Vote!.. only 5 votes so far?!.... They, the car and truck guys Vote for their favorite Military Models... Lets show them some equal respect & vote for their Models too....Please!..Thank's.... I've got my M-977's bed put together and did some shading tonight..I went through my drawers here in the hobby room and finally found my "Cold Heat" Soldering Gun.. My order came in from 'Micro Mark' today with my new "Tix" Solder..It says: Its the Hardest Soft Solder on Earth! (Isn't that a Oxymoron?) Also my new "Tix Flux"..It says: it cleans & prepares Metal for Best Solder Adhesion..... Tix solder Melts at only 275` and yet has the holding power of 4,300 lbs per Sq inch....So that should hold the PE together! And at that low of a melting solder point it should/will work just fine with the "Cold Heat" Soldering Pin I bought on QVC a year ago......Also, I bought the "Solder-IT Paste Form Solder" It says to: Just apply a small amount of solder paste from the convenient, no waste syringe & heat with soldering iron or torch to the metal and the paste bubbles away leaving a clean bright joint that won't tarnish..It flows smoothly at just 430`& solders almost all metals, including stainless steeL...So..If one don't work I'm hoping the other will... Its on page #29, if your interested & the "Tix"Solder is on page #30, middle, right side of page in the Micro Mark Catalog..."Last Chanch Summer of 06 sale that ends Sept 12th, 2006l" .. I've decided to solder all the PE... I want to give it a try so I don't have to re-glue the PE like Crockett said he has to keep doing... So Crockett, I'll let you know how it comes out.....Have fun and Please Vote! We only have till tomorrow now, that its Today! ha,ha...3:45 AM .....

Will do that Weeeg, but it will be awhile...I finished sanding the wheels & tires, gave the spare tire a coat of flat black paint (the Mfg didn't mold the 9 tires & wheel s together they made the spare Tire with the Sand colored body and frame) and primed all the wheels & tires, hung them to dry on their own little wires hanging off my Mag lamp arm.(Ive got some Rubber Enamel paint I'll paint the tires with..Really wish they were all real rubber tire's with individual wheel's)...Primered the rest of the frame and, axles fenders, mud flaps and the rear crane that's for loading and unloading the bed ..... Ive got five boxes of sandbags! OMG!...Thats 48 per box = 240 sandbag's? "Gonna take a lot of paint!".... ha,ha.. Ill be priming them tomorrow, I'll put some silly putty inside them to lock the sand bags together along the sides inside of the bed of the truck making a Sandbag Fort like wall to protect the guy's while their using their 50.cal and 30. cal Machine guns ....Ive even got a extra Quad 50.cal that I can use or Better yet! That 20mm Gatling gun that Wasn't Damaged that came with the Damaged Vulcan kit that e.hobbyland.com was so nice to replace after Fed Ex Crushed my order with the Vulcan and two boxes of Machine Guns and a On board Equipment box too, all were delivered by Fed Ex and I wrote e.hobbyland a letter and said what had happened! They replaced the Whole Order the same day I wrote them! Plus sent me a AFV Club M-548 Gun Cargo Truck that I had also ordered for "Free!" Plus, I didn't have to return the broken order to prove they were busted up and they used Priority Mail to Rush it to me in three days from Indiana They mailed it Monday night and I received it Thursday at noon from my Post Man.....I'm impressed with them for sure, and will be dealing with them For Ever!! Their www.e.hobbyland.com Great Customer Service and a great company to buy from....I'm salvaging the parts that wasn't busted up!.... I Just ordered the Big Tank Recovery Vehicle today too! It's $71. plus change, at http://www.megahobby.com...I was going to wait till X-Mas, but its burning a hole in my bank account to get it Now! So I did! ha,ha....I got paid Friday and try to buy only one Model a Month.. Now I cant buy any more for 8 months ha,ha Oh! Thats right Ive got the Two1:35th Scale Artillery Tractors Towing Cannon's coming Tuesday after labor Day weekend that I also got the Last Two their gonna make by Italeri....I Bought that Tank Recovery vehicle too because these Mgfing company's only make so many then their finished....Luckly, I found these two Tractors and bought them!! Ive tried for two years to find that other Tractor Italeri use to make but discontinued them too.....i I cant even find them on e-Bay anymore!..... Like I keep saying: "Its Great to be a Single!"...Remember those words Weeeg! ha,ha...Wait till your 40 to marry!.... Then do it for Money!.... "She being the one who has the money!".... ha,ha....Just kidding Weeeg....."Make sure She has a Fishing Boat Too!"......"RC".

Okay! Did nothing on the M-977 today or yesterday..Ive been working on my photo-album's and think Ive just about figured it out!... I had to delete my Photo bucket and Reload it. I had screwed it up when i first hooked it up last year......Now I can load only 10 photos on to it and I think that will be enough, I can change the pictures as I add new ones..So Stay tuned and "Thanks Jim"... Now I'm understanding the instructions..... Also the "Keep it Clean" has been removed from this site...So as long as we Do Keep it Clean it won't be back! Thanks Dan!....

Well, my M977 is almost complete and waiting to be painted so I can finish it..Ive started on the M-978 Fuel Tanker and going to be working on it and turning the axle's on this one Before I glue it to the frame...Then I will wait to paint until Both are almost complete, so I can paint them both at the same time so the paint's match, as their in the same outfit... Really wish I could find a tutorial on cutting the ball joints and turning the wheels, but cant find anything on turning wheels on any site or tutorial Ive found on the link's I have....Maybe I'll just go ahead and cut and not cut all the way through and bend into the turn I want, and fill the gap and hold the Cut Ball Joint in place till its dry enough to leave and it not come apart, turn the axle over and cut the two Ball Joints there two...Gino "Heavy Arty" at FSM said they don't tilt while turning, and he should know being an Artillery Officer riding the tanks and being with all the Vehicles in todays Army....So I guess Id better quit waiting for a answer about turning the wheels, cause, I'm not getting any answers here, or, anywhere about how to make the cuts... I'll be getting my new paints for these two models, I just ordered the Desert paints and weathering paints for them both, Hopefully I'll have the M-978 finished by the time the paints get here next week some time.....Megahobby hasn't sent a e-mail yet saying when they will be here..No I didn't order another Model! ha,ha.. Just paints....
