RC, It`s about time you speeded up and got these models completed. Two and a half years is very slow (if you don`t mind me saying so). On the other hand ----------------- you could set the correct time and date on your new camera or choose to hide it . On the other-----other------hand-------- the date may be correct and you ARE very slow. RLOL Jim. (that`ll teach you to go finding broken steps on my MOM)

Ha,ha.....You did see that I tried to blame Dan for Braking the step when he moved it to the Top of the Page! Ha,ha.. And I don't see it there anymore either.. I guess he thought he did brake it and deleted my coment!..... ha,ha..... Yes I changed the battery's on my camera and didn't pay attention when I was checking the date and I guess it got switched..I just finished talking to the guy at Megahobby and my "Tank Recovery Truck will be here Tomorrow! Tuesday the 12th.. I couldn't wait till X-Mas...I'm afraid that It will be discontinued too...I just got my Two Artillery Tractors from Italeri the RSO 103 # 361... I got the very Last Two Italeri had in stock! Their no longer being made!..So, I'm afraid not to order something I want when I see it.... Ive never seen these in any books or on line....Megahobby's "New manufacturers page" has listings from all the different mfgr's..Italeri had the tractors and I ordered two just by chance, and I got the very Last Two!... I haven't even seen them on e-Bay!.....Italeri had a beautiful tracked vehicle that was used to pull artillery, or as a mechanic's work truck or ammo hauler, supply vehicle...I missed it and couldn't even get one on e-Bay so as one came on it was gone!....So Ive ended up with a new stash of 10 new models and 4 sets of machine gun's two "On Board Equipment" boxes and a "US Gun & Mortar team" set with a 50 cal on a stand and a Water Cooled 30 Cal. on a tripod, plus 8 WWII Army Guys, shooting and loading the Bazooka, 50 cal, water cooled 30 and the Morter...And all the tools Ive just gotten from Micro-Mark...... An Expencitve Month August was! ha,ha.... Now I'm Stuck with my WIP Model!...Making the front wheels turning to the Left!!.. Ive asked for help here on our forum..... But I guess no one knows how to cut and turn the wheels at the axle and have them come out straight like their suppose to be....I did find out that they don't lean as the wheels are turning I guess because of their size they stand straight up as the wheels turns left.. Gino ( Heavy Arty) over on Fine Scale Modeling told me that!... He's a Army Officer in the artillery at a Army Fort by Barstow Calif.....Its name has slipped my memory right now, Ive been there a doz times when I was working, I delivered the galvanized Electric Conduit to the contractor there 12/13 years ago when they built the new buildings there...I'll remember it after Ive finished this ...I'm thinking its Fort Louis, their the Desert Rats of the US Army training school in the middle of the Mojave Desert with hundreds of miles to play war games with the Chenowith Dune Buggy's (We also supplied the steel tubing for those Military Dune Buggy's at Chenowith Mfg. East of San Diego, California)....and Tanks and Artillery........ "RC"

Well the M-977 is going to be going straight ahead! Ive screwed up and should have cut the axles Before I put it together... I cant cut the axles or have the tires turning left...But I will on the M-978 fuel tanker..Wish Now I had built it first, and found the mistakes on that one..... I found a review on the M-977 and it says that the fit is Bad and should be fitted together before the glue so I would know what to expect...I didn't and its not cooperating with me at all... ha,ha... Ornery little thing has a mind of its own!! So it looks like I'm going to be doing some cutting and stretching here & there.. ha,ha....But!! All the tires are sitting on the ground! No tires in the air like the review said about it not fitting and the frame being warped..Ive got to start looking at the model shops in Bakersfield to find another M-977, so the next one will be right next time... I ordered the Dragon Wagon last night, from Mega Hobby its only $99.95 there, and the Dragon Wagon Tractor Recovery Vehicle will be here today the 12th of Sept... I got a e-mail yesterday from UPS that its here in Calif and will be delivered today!...So now I'm finished buying for awhile...I bought the Dragon wagon because of a article I was reading about the Dragon wagon is in limited supply now, and probably going to be discontinued too....Ive bought every model Ive been wanting for the last two years and will be busy for awhile......Ive got to get a TV in here though so I can watch TV in here while building my models....Or I can move the work bench into the kitchen!!.... Being that I'm Single I can do anything I want! ha,ha...That would be Cheaper and I'd still be watching my Big Screen TV... Not a little 15" TV... That 55" TV has me really spoiled, Ive had it for the last 11 years...It would be hard to go back to a smaller TV...ha,ha...... "My life is Fun!".. "RC"

Hi Jim...Yea, Thats for sure .. The least he could have done was fix it like it was before he moved it! huh?....Ha,ha... I drove down to Bakersfield yesterday and Couldn't find another M-977, but I did buy a bunch of Styrene plastic pieces for scratch building...I got Round pieces from the size of a Pin, up to 1:35th & 1:24th scale and four 10" X 12"sheets of Styrene plastic too.. Went down there to buy acrylic paint, they don't Carry acrylics at all...Only enamals.... And no one else in Bakersfield does either. Not for the Military colors Its mostly a RC Cars & Airplanes model shop not to much plastic....So Its back to Smith Brothers hobby shop in Lancaster tomorrow For some rubber and leather and a bottle of Wood paint too....Guess Id better take my credit card..Knowing me I'll find another B-Day present ha,ha....Plus more paint too than I'm wanting or needing..But being its a hundred miles round trip I feel its the right thing to do is stock up and No Ones home to Yell at Me! ha,ha.... I ordered more paint with the Dragon Wagon I ordered, and they will be here next Wednsday... But they didn't have the Enamel Rubber paint, Leather, or Wood I need for my Plastic wheels/tires on both the 977 & 978... I bought some "Un-Cure".. I'm going to try to un-glue the backing off the axles, so I can cut the ball-joints and turn the wheels and tie-rods too, to the left. The Tie-Rods are to short too they don't fit! The Shock's are in the way, I needed small tubing to add to the tie-rods...I bought to much ha,ha.. When he added it all up I bought a few more bottles of different glues too the bill came to $65.86.....But I'm not going to have to buy any more Styrene for a long long time ha,ha..(I really over did it).If not, I'll just finish it and give it to the Grandkids to play with....I think Dave still has a M-80 firecracker or two from the 4th of July... ha,ha...
Hows the Fire Truck coming? Any pictures yet? I found it at the hobby shop! Its Super..... Looks like a Fun build, Lots of "Red" Huh? ha,ha... It was 103 when I got there, I was in the hobby shop for around a hour, when I got back into my pick up Truck it was 125 inside the cab!....When I came back up the mountain I was watching the temp go down and it was 83 when I got home..Thats why I moved here! "Home Sweet home".....

RC, I`m going to have to come over and kit-bash your credit card LOL. Seriously though - you don`t want to be doing too many 100 mile trips. It makes sense to stock up whilst you`r there. I was surprised that your shop didn`t stock acrilics. I buy all mine on-line and use Vallegio all the time. The fire engine is coming along (SLOWLY). The chassis and running gear is all done and I`m about to start on the body. Summer is a bad time for me because there is so much to do in the garden etc. I`m aiming to put the hours in on the models very soon now. Jim

A lot of the Hobby shops in Bakersfield Don't stock Acrylic paints.. Bunch of 'I don't want for a better word' "Hick's" is the word ha,ha....No... They all have found the R/C guys don't use them and most the shops are turning to R/C Planes & Cars.. One of my Hobby shop's don't sell plastic Models anymore!..Just R/C equipment and those Cars & AirPlanes....I'll have to drive back to Lancaster... But not Today... The wind is blowing 60 mile an hour Gusts..Sand/Dust storms.... Its in the mid 60's! Fall has Fell... ha,ha...So I'm staying in today, just looked out my side window and the trees are almost laying on their sides winds blowing East....I was going out to dinner today and have a drink, but not in this stuff!....I'm tinkering with the M-977 axles trying to "Un Glue" the brake backing off the axles so I can get the wheels to turn left by cutting the Ball Joint!...I might have to kit bash the M-978 fuel tanker for its axles if I mess the axles up on the 977.....I hope I can fix it thats why I bought the Plastic so if I have to do some repair to the axles, etc, I hopefully can save it....Its not going in a contest, it's only for me... So I'm not worrying to much how the underneath comes out if I do mess it up a bit.. It's knowing I cant buy another one is got me worrying about ruining it..And I can use the fuel tank on a 6x6 truck....I was going to just leave it alone and build it with the wheels not turned, but won't quit trying yet.... Guess I'll take my saw to cut the springs off the frame and use the new springs/axles from the M-978 fuel tankers kit.I won't mess it up that way and can cut the axles at the ball joints peg them turning left and assemble it right this time! And use the axles and springs for the fuel tanker, that way I've got the M-978 intact and built the way its suppose to be too....
