Hi folks,
No pics yet, but I have made some progress tonight! Decals are now drying after a good dose of microsol and the landing gear is attached. I'll post a pic when the decals have settled down.
See you later,
Darren.

Thanks Sean! It took me a while to get this far as I've not spent much time in the workshop lately, but its starting to take shape now. I'm hoping to be finished by Monday.

Excellent Spit, I like the dio base. Is the enamels used on this the Model Master brand ?

Sean, I know that feeling, it goes something like "Great- thats the underside done. Hey-I did'nt notice that seam before! Oh $**&!" Heh! Heh!
Lobbie, Thanks mate! These are humbrol paints. N0s 29 & 225 for the camo and the underside is a home made mix of various shades of blue. I made it from Humbrol mid-blue, white, and azure blue. Humbrols azure blue is too dark for my liking, hence the mixing of shades.
See you later,
Darren.

G'day, Here are a couple of pix of 2 different Malta based birds, that have been reserected for the collection, they are not intended as part of this GB. Originaly built OOB for a shot display, since been modified into the horizontal tailplanes and repainted. Originaly built OOB [using the 'Bambi' Night Fighter version ], modified to a late Production Mk IVnf. Both of these birds have been painted using Model Master Dark Earth / Middle Stone on the upper cammo only. The Day scheme version the Blue is Huimbrol #48 Mediteranian Blue, as on the Night Fighter version the lower surface is the Tamiya Sray can of Matt Black. Sorry for the poor quality in the pix.

Darren,
Excellent build and weathering on your Malta Spit, I was under the impression that Beurling's bird had a black spinner fitted to it.
Sean,
Pitfalls or not the Hurricane is progressing well, I know of someone who built this kit, after scratch building the cockpit as some added detail, sold the assembled model for $AU80.00

Thanks for your kind words fellas! Lobbie, I did some research on Beurlngs spits and most of the evidence points to EP706 having a red spinner. The Aeromaster sheet says it should be black, everyone else says it should be red-I just went with the evidence I had. It would of been nice to find a photo of it, unfortunately there isn't one.

Darren,
I know AeroMaster make mistakes on their decals sheets and they have been called ErrorMaster for a long time in the industry, I'll go threw my Spitfire 'The Complete History' book and see what I can find on EP-706.
Have you tried using the Invisithread as a means of making the trailing antenia on your subjects.
