OK Guys Lets get this one started the start date is today 26 nov to 26 feb 06
the kit has to be a Matchbox not a Revell re-run If possible be nice to see the kit in its tri-colour or single colour , with the box no A/M kits has to be built OOB , but rigging is allowed and AM decals as the kit ones are probably shot
As you know Matchbox made Car kits, Tank kits , and of course planes
So lets have some Fun guys

G'day, The first kit is the Lancaster as per boxart 'Jane' here are the pix of the box, plastic and decals. The remaining 3 kits are a Heyford, a Seafox and a {Pointy} Fish, - commonly called a Swordfish. A Wellington will be added to this that Matt is building with a lot of help from me, so we'll add this one to the list also.

Hiya Sean, well, i have raided my stash and come up with... 1 Saab J29 2 phantom (have some aftermarket decals for this) 3 P70 nightfighter (seeing as this is an ex revell mold issued by Matchbox, is this allowable?) 4 hawk (original issue for the hawk prototypes) 5 three red arrows hawks. (have aftermarket decals for these also)
will see how far i get through this list
all the best.

Hiya folks, well, i'm well on the way with the phantom, its going to be a 2 sqn machine ootb. was thinking about replacing the pylons and wing tanks with spares box items but that wouldn't be in keeping with the g.b. the next in line will be the P70 i think. i really don't think i will get round to doing all the kits i listed as i have other projects on the go too. including refurbishing my old frog/novo whitley and the 1/32 spit. and i have two isreali spits to do. and i am thinking of starting a g/b of my own too. watch this space for that one.
all the best.

Sean,
When you start to paint the interior of the fuselage of the Wellington, from the rear cockpit bulkhead to the nose gun is Black. From the wing /fuselage join is Red Oxide Primmer to the rear gun turret.

progress so far on the phat fantom. the nose cone has been added, the crew figures are painted and installed and the bare metal areas are painted and some on the light aircraft grey areas have been painted. Sean, the matchbox Phantom can still be found occasionally, i got two , one from kit krazy and the other at a shop in east midlands airport last year (it is an original matchbox one with the 3 colour plastic and the transparent section in the rear, he had a stack of five of em and i only had a fiver spare.GRRRR (didn't have me cred and debit cards on me either, didn't get chance to go back for some time so i assume he has sold them all by now though.
all the best.
