I have been thinking of a way to get all the different areas of modeling into one group build. I thought if we did a what if build, we could build something from our minds. The idea is that it would have to be something that could work. The car guys could do a some type of concept vehicle as well as the Armor guys, the wingy thing guys etc. It could be an actual concept vehicle or one of your own creations. The main thing is that it must be convincing and possible.
So what do you guys think?

Exactly. It could be anything that you can imagine. As long as it could have been. Thats the beauty of this kind of build. It is very hard for the rivet counters to find something wrong because it is your idea.

great idea, what about a two seater conversion of a single seater?. i have been thinking of doing some chopping on a couple of spare hurricanes i have into russian two seaters, one trainer and a fighter bomber with a rear gunner cockpit (i know the rusians did do some of these though) hey Sean, if you want to run with the russian tank in US markings idea i have a 1/48th T72 in my stash that i could trade for something with wings if you want. i was going to do it as an iraqi target ..oooops tank but shelved that idea.
best regards.

I'll join in on this one. I have a lot of EXTRA'S from other models I can use, as a WHAT IF something 4x4 or even a 6x6.

thought i would get some in progress pics put up dry run of the chopped canopies and fuselage for fit. progress so far on the two seat fighter bomber, needs gunners seat and gun adding. progress so far on the trainer. when photographed the canopies were not glued in place as the canopy rail needs adding to the trainer and the instrument panel needed adding to the green one, both jobs now done. the rear cockpit of the trainer has had a new rear bulkhead, coaming, instrument panel and seat scratchbuilt and a new cockpit floor scratched and added to both pits, i do admit though these models are going to be pretty basic in the pit department as i have quite a few projects i want to get through. hope you like, these should be finished in about four or five days. all the best, Greg

Greg,
Looks good so far, I saw a 48 scale Hurricane 2 seat trainer conversion completed, I have in a mag a few pix of various 2 seat birds.

How long is this going to go on? I'm thinking of getting Revell/Germany's Graf Zeppelin Aircraft Carrier and making it "What If?" the Russians had never sunk it as a target but got it rebuilt/remodeled and used it to carry Yak 36's before they built the Kievs?
That should be an interesting build.
