G'day,
This Tamiya GT 3 kit was built for a client, who some years ago owned a real Porsche 930 Turbo, the body shell of this kit is moulded in yellow, this machine is silver, so the base coat of the body shell was Humbrol #1 Grey Primmer, followed by a coat of Matt Black, when dry the window areas were masked of and the tape trimmed to cover the frame work and the Black Interior.
Once the body was finished BMF was added to the areas were the tail lights and front indicator's are, the wing mirrors are also BMF and not the kit supplied chrome plated parts, one thing wrong with this kit was the tyres are only right sided, they are not left/right directional chevrons.
I removed the front kit moulded inner coolers and replaced them with alumium mesh.
