Hi Guys - do I detect some old friends from other forums? To get the ball rolling on this new forum here's a little MG TC that I finished a couple of months ago. This is quite an old Gakken 1/16 kit (quite a nice size) which was also marketed by Minicraft. It's not very accurate but I am lucky enough to have the original workshop manual. The TC's fell into two categories. The early cars had wooden dashboards and wood rim steering wheels whilst the later ones had vinyl dash and black rim steering wheel. I have built this one as an early car by making a sprung Bluemels steering wheel from fuse wire and adding a mahogany sheet dash. The seats are leather from an old wallet, floors are flocked and I was lucky enough to be able to have the references to fully wire the engine right down to the correct colours for the fuse box. The doors are supposed to be stuck on but I made hinges from brass tubing and soldered thin strips on each side to make the hinge - the pins are from a spectacle repair kit. The colour scheme is known as 'mint over pine green' and was never actually offered as an option on the TC but was popular on the earlier J and N types and what the heck - I like it and it's my model!! Hope you like it too. Cheers- Martin

Thanks - the wheels are standard OOB - looking at those pics though I think I'll have to blacken the sidewalls a bit!!

No engine pics at the moment I'm afraid - weather not too good today - will try and get some later if it brightens up.
