Hi - here's a 1928 Mercedes SS Sonder Kabriolet that I've just finished. (Click to enlarge) This 17 foot 2-seater monster had a 7.2 litre supercharged straight six engine and was good for over 120-mph (in 1928!!) This wasn't a bad kit but it had no interior detail. I thought that a vehicle such as this deserved a bit more, so I made up dashboard decals on the computer and mounted them on a piece of .6mm oak burr veneer - the bezels are fusewire and the surrounding wood chestnut with 1mm sycamore stringing as a contrast. The door cappings were given a similar treatment with burr inlay and chestnut surrounds. So - here it is!! about 8 weeks of work! Model: Academy Minicraft 1520 Scale : 1/16 (overall length 12 inches approx) Paint : Halfords spray can - Peugeot Alpine white over Midnight Blue. Humbrol spray can gloss and matt black, satin and matt clear acryllics. Finish: Detail Master Micromesh to 12000grit, Novus2 compound - Turtle Wax Colour Magic Black Wax finishing polish. , Detailing: Bare metal foil chrome/matt alloy. And that's about it!! Cheers - Martin

Bravo. Beautiful finish. This is out of my area of building but i have comment on it. The paint finish is first class. A very sleek looking vehicle. Thanks for sharing.
