I've been building motorcycle kits for years, though lately, kits are getting a bit hard to find. I've build virtually all of the old 1:10 scale Harley kits, some ,ore than once using all of the options to build more than one type. However, 1:8 scale Choppers are virtually non-existent with the exception of the Grimm Reaper kit from monogram. So, the subject of this build is the first of 3 highly modified Grim Reaper kits.
The modes include a new front end and handlebars made from various sizes of aluminum and brass tubing and styrene plastic. The seat was also replaced with one from an old Revell Sportster kit. The chrome was stripped from the engine and transmission using Liguid Plumber, and the new front end chromed using Alclad Chrome.
