i'm working on the amt/ertl peterbuilt wrecker. i need some help deciphering some colors. if someone can just tell me something similar.
coal black pale gray desert yellow silver fox matt white dark earth scarlet

Well its kinda hard to describe a paint color with words. I think the name of the paint is what describes it best. However you may be able to go to the website of the paint manufacturer and see a color chart for each paint color

Coal Black (usually) = semi-matt, or satin, black; pale grey is your choice, (sorry) but I'd use something similar to the underside colour of a Vietnam-era Phantom; for desert yellow I tend to use a light brown; silver fox = painted bright silver, e.g. Humbrol 11; matt white is a dead flat white, no shine at all; dark earth is Humbrol's 29, or similar; scarlet is simply bright red.

thanks for the help. these are colors fro the ertl peterbuilt wrecker. i have all the humbrol numbers as that's what they show. nobody around me carries that brand, so i was trying to find someone who knew of a similar color in model masters, or boyds, etc.
