Hey, ya can't think that! I just got here! You really haven't been here that long either, so let's just keep contributing all the stuff WE want. Okay? Relax. Don't be sad, little camper!

You are right The post count is really really slow. This site can't keep going without the members. If you know anyone who would be interested in this site, please tell them about it. Also if you can, be a part of the Model of the Month contest to help keep this site alive!

I will gladly contribute when I get back to working on my models.... I have been away for a LOONG time and am gathering tips and so forth right now until I finish getting all of my tools and supples together, as I gave away EVERYTHING a long time ago when I thought I was too old to be "playing with toys".... (I was an avid modeller from ages 9 - 12, then did it for about 2 months at 34, decided I was too old, got rid of it all, npw at 37 (closer to 38) getting back into it and plan on doing it RIGHT now.. no more brush painting of bodies, a REAL airbrush (i.e. not test*rs), etc... I don 't have a good digital camera, but will be getting one in a few months, and should have my workshop ready to start some REAL builds early summer, and plan on contributing tips as to what DOES work and what DOESN'T (for me, at least). I also plan on using examples I've seen elsewhere, where digital photos are taken along the way during a build, and you can tell people how each step was done, since this provides a great number of tutorials in one item. This will likely be for my 1958 Impala where I plan on implimenting working door latches, a better hood hinge system, plumbed, wired, etc.

I'll try and contribute more, I've got a new build that I just finished, I'll try and post pics. Our home PC crashed and burned bad at the end of Jan so we're just getting it back up and running.

I'd post more if I thought that more than one or two people would just say "Hey, thanks for showing us" despite what they think of my build. I jumped over here after Animal ( Hey Dave!) said that there were more people interested in auto subjects than at my alma-mater, Armorama. The few threads I started weren't ignored ( a lot of people looked ), but, only a few people stopped and said "I looked". Please, understand I am not looking for the "Pat on the back" comments as much as I'm looking for comments that tell me that "My undercarriage looks like poop and I can fix it by doing this...." Rag on my lack of abilities in the paint finish department. My gloss finishes have always sucked and you can't hurt my feelings when I ask for it by showing you. I want to learn. We are all such a collective wealth of modeling brilliance and know-how, but, without sharing it, we suffer. I'll post a new build today. See you all there.

This is too good a site to let it drop. Mind you - it`s ALWAYS slow in the heavy truck section I`m a member of several groups and they are all short on posters at the moment. Perhaps it`s the time of the year. Jim

Hi all, I have things that I am working on but am also pretty busy at work and working on a home and autos. I really like this site and will try to get at least some in progress pics to show. I love the fact that there are so many areas of interest and hope to contribute to a few of them. Great work on the site Dan and everybody else.

Well, I have two jobs but still manage to get some time on the bench. Unfortunately, my camera is still in Colorado so I can;t take any pics of the kits I'm working on or finished. I'm still waiting for it to return. Once that happens, I should have a ton of pics to post.

As I`ve said earlier, this site is too good to loose. I think that one of the major problems is that we are spread too thinly over a lot of subjects. I can tell you it`s quite lonely in the heavy truck section!! Having said that, I don`t know what the answer is. I think that Dan is doing a great job and hope he doesn`t get disheartened. On the positive side, I think that the MOM is a great idea. I have to admit that I`ve tended to stick to the general threads and trucks section until now. Charles` MOM gun-truck changed all that. I now browse the armour section also. Let`s keep it going eh? Jim

I'm in full agreement with you Jim...Sad..... we could have a great forum here but its just not coming together!..We get a new person join and no one welcomes them anymore eithrer!...... I think Dan has washed his hands with us here..None of the moderators say hi to the new people....Its a dead horse...Guess we should just let it die and not try to resuscitate it any longer..I'll miss the spell check! No one else has one and the big shot's/leaders on FSM Nor scaleautomag don't want it on their forums either, so you do have to put up with people knocking the way their people spell.....They do have a great truck section at scaleautomag.com though.... I Hope to see you there......"RC"
