I just got this one in the mail today from tbuskirk... It's gonna be a replica of a truck that I drove when I was with the carnival back in 80-84... Paint is gonna be Duplicolor Dark Blue Met. with silver stripes.... Here's the cab precleaning, it needs a good bath, which it's gonna get when my wife gets home with the dish soap.... I've also got some work done to the engine, I'll get some pics up later.... Stay tuned..... ;D

Great build. Can`t wait to see the finished version. Great idea about the `blanket`, - now why didn`t I think of that? LOL. I`ve spent ages painting the bunk beds on lots of trucks and never really been satisfied with the results. Who knows, I may even have a go at making a pillow to go with it. I have a part built Volvo on the bench just crying out for something like that.

She's 99.99% finished.... All she needs are the door placards(which I'm getting next week), & the airhoses mounted, I haven't done those yet, because I 'm gonna be building a generator to go behind the cab, if I can get my hands on another deisel engine.... The 1:1 "Old Blue" had one, & maybe I'll build one for this one too.... Anyways here she is.... If anybody has a deisel engine they can part with let me know, I have prewired distributors to trade.... Thanks, & thanks for lookin!!!!!

I should be getting my door placards soon so I decided to go ahead & build the power plant... It's big because the 1:1 item was BIG.... It housed the Cat straight 6 a HUGE radiator, & the generator unit itself... The Ibeams are scratchbuilt & I fabricated a slat type radiator, junction box for the power leads, & an external control panel... The people I worked for had three trucks with similar palnts, ecah one could power THREE carinival rides.... Thanks for lookin!!!! ;D

Thanks Nick!!!! Yeah "Old Blue" was a beast, but she handled nice, & had plenty of cajones after she got the Cummins 400... All in all those four years when I drove her were really GREAT!!!! I've about got the generator unit finished, hopefully I'll get some pics up later.... ;D

Here's the finished generator unit resting on the chassis.... I'll glue it down after I get the door placards on.... The box on the bottom right side is where the power leads plug in.... I'll add the airhoses after I glue it down..... Thanks for lookin!!!!!

Thanks Sean!!!! ;D Nope, But the engine/generator unit is enclosed for safety reasons when it's operating... The only time the covers were off or the doors were open was for maintenence, so I went with this.....
