Gents, Here's one I did awhile back. Some of you might have seen it on another forum but I thought I would contribute to help this one keep going. It started life as one of Revell's repops. I had built the original back in the late 50's and thought I would like to do it again. It's funny how you forget how crude these things were but as kids we just enjoyed building so it didn't matter. Now on to the specifics. I started with the frame and cut out the original engine pan area because I was going to scratch a totally new engine for it. (302 V-8) The engine was made from styrene stock and machined aluminum pieces. The fender-wells were cut from this piece and mounted to the frame with some lengthening done to but up against the firewall. A new firewall was made and molded to the body. The drivers door was cut out and interior panels were fabricated. I made a buck out of hardwood and formed a windshield for it along with making all of the other windows. A new exhaust was made from aluminum as was the driveshaft. I made up new taillights and freehanded the license plate. Baby moons were machined from aluminum and polished. The truck is painted with Boyd's blue pearl paint. The grill was done with Alclad chrome and the emblems were foiled with BMF.
