Hi All, The Leyland is finished at last and now the trailer can have the correct tractor unit pulling it. Pegleg correctly pointed out that my first photo with a single axle tracter was quite wrong and a double one was needed. I`d loads of American units that fitted the bill, but somehow they didn`t look right. When was the last time (if ever) you saw a Western Star or a Peterbilt on British roads? Jim I produced my own decals for this model so was therefore able to promote my wife to a partner in the haulage business LOL. ;D

You've hit the nail square on the head with this one!...What a super Combo!! You've got to enter it in MOM huh?!...The tarp and the tarp job! The outriggers are perfect! The Cab's color & trim is the same as my old Tractor too!! I can't believe that! ha,ha...Your model looks like my old truck and trailer with the "Elephant" off loading machine..That was the name on the fork lift style off loader....It ran on the center rails of the trailer.....Youve done a perfect job on this one adding the three axle tractor...Beautiful Tractor too!.. I'm really excited about what you did to this!! The only difference is my 1:1 Tractor was a 3 axle Peterbilt, with the Over head cab "Thanks for the memory's!"...."RC"

Hey Jim I don't know if you subscribe Scale Auto Mag but if your looking for a good truck'n place to go to see some more trucks Big & small too, go to www.scaleautomag.com Scroll down to scale Auto Forum on lower left side of the page..click on that, Once its open you can register I hope and become a member too, then scroll down to "Trucks/Commercial" when it opens click on page #5.. First one on the list should be "Paystar 6X6 up date pic's" by "Southgate".. He's taken a fork lift rig like you have on your above trailer and mounted it on a 6X6 truck and ..Well... Check it out!..I think you'll find a another home there too, to meet a bunch of guys who build Big Rigs, fire trucks, etc..Theres well over a hundred pages there on Trucks alone .Its also in the FSM family with us, so were not jumping ship here! ha,ha..And this is about trucks! So I don't think I'm off topic! I hope?!.... Just want to introduce you to some more Truck'n Guys here in the USA.... This is also for all here who are truck model builders...There's some more new ideas there and Maybe we can recruit a few of them to come join us over here too! I've seen a few familial faces and truck pic's over there from here....They have some great ideas about scratch building trucks and Trailers too..Pull trailers etc...... Regards....... "RC"
