Ken you do do good paint for sure!! ha,ha.. (That's funny if I do say so my self ha,ha..) What a huge sleeper! wish I'd had one of those! The one I had in that Trans Star was so small I had to sleep on my side or I was half way into the back of the drivers and buddy seats, I 'd wake up hugging the back of the seat! ha,ha.. This is going to be a beaut!...I can't wait to see it finished and I'm guessing it will be by the end of this coming Sunday afternoon! If not sooner!...It reminds me of that truck in the Movie "Duel"..That old tanker chasing Dennis Weaver down the blvd ...ha,ha....That film was shot about 50 miles from here by Palmdale Calif......A remote area between LA and the Desert area....Ive been down there a few times to just to see it or show it to my out of town family members when they would come to visit!! You do a good job on your painting for sure..... Ive got a new Badger 200SG coming in the mail as we speak from www.dixieart.com I got a e-mail from them today it will be here on the 20th of this month..They ship free anything over $45.00.... I have the Badger 200-20 and the Badger 100LG & Badger 360.. I have a hard time using and don't like the 2 stage airbrush's..But I do love the single stage and that 200-20 is so super to paint models with.. It has the Medium needle and I ordered the 200SG with the fine needle... So now I'll have two that I like using..I can never get the air & Paint mix the same using the double stage a/b's.. Guess I'm not coordinated right or something huh?! I've Never had that touch! But its so much easier for me with the single stage 200 a/b's Badger puts out....Iwata also advertises a single stage a/b too, Ive read about it..I might end up with One too... I've been a 'Good Boy' so far this year and Santa Clause will be coming in a few month's....What A/B do you use?And what needle size are you using ?....."RC"

Ken, Like RC, I don`t know how you turn them out so fast. It`s looking great. I`m really looking forward to seeing the completed rig. One point puzzles me though. Your feeders to the exhaust stacks appear to be coming out from the bottom corner of the doors.
RC, Just like you, I`ve settled for a single action airbrush. I have an expensive double action one but feel more comfortable (and get better results) with the cheaper one. No doubt all it needs is practice, but as I`m getting good results it`s a case of , `If it ain`t broken, don`t try to fix it!`.

Thanks guys!!!! ;D I used to autobody & paint cars for a living, unfortunately I don't have the equipment I had when I was in the trade..I used to use a lot of Dupont ,& RM products when Iwas in the trade... One of the problems now is I don't have room to set up much of anything... Besides I think it's important to show the younger, less experienced builders that don't have a lot of $$$$ that you can do a decent paintjob with a spraycan.... BTW stuckontrucks, those aren't outlets for the stacks in the doors, those are where the slam-handles go.... Anyways here's the door placards..... Thankls for lookin!!!! ;D

Ive drove trucks for over 30 year's and never heard of Slam handles! What the ? is that?? ha,ha... New expression on me!. ..Oh!! Wait! I just looked at the picture again and its for the Door Handles ha,ha... Okay now I get it 'door slammers'....as in: Door Handles!. .."The flipper kind huh?!"...."RC" Jim which airbrush are you using and what needle size do you use?!....Your Not using a Testers Aztec are you?. ...Your paint jobs are too Perfect! ....."RC"

Frames looking good Ken and the Kitty is a good color too.. Where have I seen that same color at? Oh yea, Jim's, thats a great color combo......... Those Mold lines on the exhaust manifold's & turbo do pop out at you after its painted though, huh? Like you said about your last Model Truck's engine intake manifold too..I'd never noticed before you brought it to my attention...But won't be seen once the cab and hood are installed.. This is a cool looking rig ken.. I like your signs, I don't have the type printer I need to print my own, so I can't make my own decal's..Yet!...Is yours a Lazier Jet printer or what kind do you have to get those super decals you make? "Maybe Santa Clause will bring me one!" ha,ha.. Yours are really good...OK Ken! Can't wait till the next pic's are here.............."RC" PS... Ken... I really love that big sleeper! I'm hoping you can keep it and not replace it with a smaller one unless its to big for the frame to have a tow truck's Crane too...You can streeetch out that frame and have a big Ole' Truck!..huh? What you think about stretching out the frame a little,(if you have too) and still be able to keep that bitchen sleeper?!...

Thanks RC!!!! ;D Well I ended up having to go with the smaller sleeper, couldn't be helped.... Here's a REALLY rough mock-up of the crane mounted.... I'm waiting for Todd to send me the hydraulic piston parts I need to finish building the boom assy... Then I still have to do the A-frame support on the front bumper for the boom itself, outriggers, & a bunch of other stuff for the crane.... But it's coming along.... I'm also waiting for the dashboard decal(it'll look nicer then anything I can paint), & I can finish the interior.... This still had a ways to go.... I use the Testors Sure Thing Basic decal maiking system.... It's for INK JET printers(which is what I have).... Anyways stay tuned.... ;D

Oh! Yea...I see what you mean!.....Thats a Crane!! ha,ha...I thought you were just going to install a tow Truck Hook, not this massive Crane !....Its looking real good I like the idea you have for it....Can't wait for the next installment of pic's... Yes! I need a Ink Jet Printer.. I have the Lexmark X1000 Printer combo scanner/Fax machine..I bought it at Rite Aid drugs store on sale for $40.00 five years ago and it works great, never use the fax though! And bought the testers decals at WalMart a year ago, it didn't work in it....Guess I'd better start saving if I want it by X-Mas!...

Here's the latest progres pics... With the outriggers (minus the landing pads)... & how the whole thing will look.... I've since painted the crane assy. & hope to have pics later!!!! Thanks for lookin!!!! ;D
