Our club (Gold Coast Modelers) car model build for the month of December was to do any kind of unibody pickup. I decided to convert the custom Dodge Deora into a 4x4 which consists of several scratch built parts as well as odds & ends from my parts boxes I know with all the changes I’ve made it should probably be posted in the “kitbash” category but after all it’s not all that radical The body is painted a Toyota Yellow and Clear Effex with the interior done in Almond and accented in Desert Yellow. The wood siding decals are from the 65 Lincoln kit The bucket seats, tires and wheels are from my parts box I used red trim tape for the taillights and named the Deora “Heavy Hugger” because that was the only decal I found that would fit above the taillight To be different I added an instrument panel and a regular steering wheel I used the front axle from the ’79 Ford 4x4 pickup. I made the transfer case from the emergency brake in the Daisy Jeep kit. I scratch built all leaf springs, the exhaust system and brought the pipes out on the driver side rocker panel
