Another promo. This one gave me alot of headaches, mainly with the paint.
This is the third paint job I applied to it. I had originally painted it Nassau Blue, but when I went to shoot it with clear, I accidently grabbed some silver paint instead, OOPS!
So I stripped it, and repainted it Red Rose Pearl, and it looked pretty good, until I knocked it off the paint stand and onto the floor, oops again. So back in the CSC it went.
When I painted it the third and final time, it was candy apple red over a bronze metallic base. I forgot to redo the body work on the hood where there are two rather large sink marks. I didn't realize this until after I painted it. Also, when I shot the clear, it was real humid outside, so it ended up with alot of orange peel. I got so frustrated that I threw it in the junk pile, and there it sat for about 5 months
I decided the other night that I needed more practice with BMF, so I figured I would pull this one out of the junk heap, and use it as a test bed. I didn't bother wet-sanding and polishing it.
So, here it is, orange peel and all.
Definetly not my best work, but it looks good on the shelf, from a distance.
