If you notice on musclecar era cars, the secondary wiring was usually held in place with plastic clamps (first pic). Heres a nice way to simulate them using Contact Pater, available from Michaels Hobby Lobby etc. Contact Paper is very similar to Bare-Metal-Foil, it is sticky on one side, and the difference being the other side is white papter. To simulate the clamps, I simply cut a thin slice of it from the sheet, peel off the paper backing, and wrap it around the wire(s) and stick it to its own sticky self, leaving a little overlap to also stick to the sidewall/firewall.
"Contact Paper", you can get it from Michaels, Hobby Lobby etc.
Cut a thin slice of the Contact Paper (similar to BMF) and wrap it around the wire. Adds some nice realism!
