G'day,
It's time to quit when any or all of the following happens:-
A:-
Everything suddenly seems difficult and you spend more time than usual on reading the instructions or dry fitting the plastic only to fail miserably on all attempts.
B:-
Whatever happens you swear your other half has a Voodoo Doll in the next room sticking pins in it ! Ahem....causing you grief.....Ouch....STOP !!!!
C:-
When you get confused as to where the modelling area is, due too all the unbuilt kits and boxes forming a maze, hoping too trap you in the room for ever.
D:-
You spilt half a bottle of glue over the model, or spilt CA Glue on the desk and found yourself stuck. Or found the PE sticks better to your fingers, or have fallen asleep at the model desk and gone to work with bits of plastic or even paint on your arm.
E:-
For the upteenth time, some part has of the model has suffered from tweezer launch and for the upteenth time the tourch has been put to good use. Or the carpet monster has swallowed the parts you spent days scratch building as replacements.
Note:- I seen first hand from Option C, D and E, from several of my students. If you can think of anything else that should be added to this, feel free to do so.

Heh! Heh!
how about when you spend two evenings detailing the bang seat only to realise that you were supposed to paint it black not grey.....
Or when you relise that you glued the drop tanks to the wrong hard points........
Or when you inspect the beautiful decals and notice that they are in wrong position..............
Not that I do anything like that of course...........!!

when you see a pic of someones first build and it looks better than your latest creation...
you need to get a bank loan to cover for your latest hobby store shopping spree
you start getting christmas cards from your L.H.S
you spend so much time in your model den that your wife invests in something plastic for her own "entertainment"
the word tamia appears on the divorce papers, several times
Part of your English lit paper reads...."to P.E or not to P,E
when your fave model shop goes out of business you don't understand why it doesn't start world greiving on a scale not seen since the passing of Elvis Presley.

When your hands start getting so shaky you can't do anything with them.

How about when you are gluing a piece to the model and holding it for the glue to set and when you finally let it go it is stuck to your finger instead of the model.

When the model hits the far wall, of your modelling room, and falls into the bin.
