Shows the pilots have brass gonads, but no respect for their equipment. Flying that low over salt water ingests a whole lot of salt spray into the engines and that does no good for their internal workings. And what happens if a fish decides to jump: try explaining that flame-out to the Wing Commander.

I've seen the RAAF do this low flying with the both the FA 18 and F 111.
If a fish did jump it would not be a flame out. It'd be a fish strike.
