Rob, I like the camo pattern on this one its very well done, I guess you have been airbrushing for a long time-your painting skills are very good indeed. I have always liked the C-47 so its a real pleasure to see this one. Thanks for the look,
Darren.

That all for the kind words. Here are both C-47's displayed at the WSMC display of 2005. The Museums repaired RAAF Dakota This Italeri boxing of the Skytrain, belongs to a friend, who as a member of this club asked for my help as ameans of improoving his model skills, to which 80% of my input went into this model, the AEAF bands are individual decal film, trimed to fit. The decals are from the Eagle Stike 'Skytrains at War' sheet.

Bill,
Yes it's a float version of the C 47, it is a resin conversion set, I have a pic of the real thing, I'll ask the person that built it for the details of the conversion.

I love the Gooney Birds, and that's a great build of one.
While moving into this house about 20 years ago, I was hot and tired from moving all day and sat down on the deck one evening right at dusk to unwind. I heard the unmistakeable sound of something flying with big reciprocating engines, not a normal sound in the jet age. Looked around and finally found it. A DC-3 flying along, slow and stately, flames blowing out the exhaust, head held high, and still flying after all these years. It was a beautiful sight.
