G'day,
This 48 Tamiya was built for the RAAF's OTS as a 464 Sqn RAAF, who were part of the famed Amiens Prison raid and later the wing became know as the 'Gestapo Hunters'.
This is the mount of W.Cdr. Ian Airedale, 2 IC of the prison raid, the fighter escort for these were the 198 Sqn Typhoon Ib's, but these were later replaced with the N.A. Mustang's as fighter escorts.
