Hi folks, this is a Tamiya 1/48 kit of a Mk.Vb Spitfire, it wears the markings of 126 Sqn. RAF and was deployed in Malta during the 1942 seige of that island. I built this model for a gentleman who worked on this Spitfire while he was stationed in Malta. This model was presented to him on Christmas day two years ago in a glass case and it still has pride of place in his living room. It was a surprise gift from his family and I was honoured to be able to say thanks to a veteran in this small way. He kindly told me that I had done the model "just right" I still call it the best model that I have built. Hope you like it, Darren.
