Well guys, looks like it is time to build My First Plane !! Ok, no need to laugh too hard ! I pick the Zeke, as it seems the easiest out of the ones I have to build. I want to build the Corsair, but...don't want to mess it up, and...I got a special set of decals for it coming from Oz by a really nice fellow, so got to wait anyway. What do ya'll think, out of these kits which would be easiest? I figure the Zeke or the Warhawk. Like I am some kinda expert! LOL! Well?.....(tapping foot) LOL, Ya'll be good and have fun, Bill

Go with the Warhawk..Hasegawa is always good as far as fitting goes and it's just a fine looking bird. Just my opinion, of course, but I think you will enjoy that one.

Well, I'm a sucker for the P-40 and P-51 but I also prefer jets. Not sure which I'd go with first.
Some of those have pretty difficult paint schemes. The ME-262's are really tough to paint from what I understand, but I've never done one. The natural metal finish on the P-51 and P-47 looks beautiful when done properly, but you need to use Alclad laquer to do it right. The P-40 and A-10 both have three-color camo, and speaking from experience, A-10's are a tough build. I also have reservations about the snake decal on that AH-1! From a strictly painting standpoint the Zero or the Val would probably be easiest.
I guess I'm a masochist though and would have to prove to myself I could do a tough one. I'd probably do the P-40 first ;D

Bill,
The A6M2 would be a good kit too start as a first plane, the 'pit is basic as IP detail is decal, the cam is single or two tone, few parts as per comparison to the other in the 'Mountain of Goodness' I also have this and most of the one in the stash.
The Zero will go together with few vices and little filler, the canopy which is optioned as either open or closed, I think would be where some advice would be needed.

A6m2 would be a good one to cut your teeth on. that one is pretty straight forward.

AGGGGG! Ok, so, I build 'em all at the same time!!
LMAO, just kidding . I know it is a tuff decision. And every1 has their own preference, as it should be. Scott, you make it very tuff now, Cuz I be hanged if I let a little piece of plastic kik my butt! "OW!", My plane just hit me!! . In that respect, I would go for the Me 262 with the 2 tone splinter, AND the long squiggly lines, I will do that one day, already getting prepared, but, I am not crazy, so...well, I guess I will surprise ya'll. This is the scheme I want to do, I have already been practicing for it as you can see! Just will use different colors than this 262 has.

Bill I think you are ready for that 262. The field piece looks great even though I have no idea what it is

With the paint job you did on the 88 Flak, you shouldn't have any problems on Me 262.

Oooh, yoose guys ;D, Man, ya'll really know how to boost a guys morale!!!! I tell you what, IF I can put this wingy thingie together without going to bed with airplane parts stuck all over me I will build the 262! I been wanting to as it is my 2nd fav bird after the Corsair. Scott, this was done in enamels, nice and smooth, about 1:1 ratio, and about 5 psi, I am still having probs with the acrylics spitting those dang bits of paint. You might not go to this thread again so I am going to msg you on a new thread.
