G'day, This 48 Tamiya 'Grand Slam' 48 kit is the current issued motorized props version, it was built for the RAAF as one of their requested contract builds but, it has been converted back to a B I/III with a resin bomb bay conversion fitted, this kit is moulded in the grey plastic and has all the turret glass and guns of the original B I/ III kit they released some 30 years ago. This is the only pic I have of this bird and has been built as per the Australian War Memorial 'G' George displayed aircraft.

Thank's all for the kind words.
Sean,
With the 'Grand Slam' configuration, all 4 props will spin fast enough that it will move, the 22,000lb'r holds the battery box and performs as the on / off switch. The kit still has the 2 dummy engines but the cowlings are way off scale to be dispalyed open, the plastic works out to almost 6 inches thick for the real thing.

Hi Rob,
that Lanc looks superb! I've always fancied having a go at that Tamiya kit. You have done an outstanding job, thanks for the look.
Regards,
Darren.
