Hi Everybody, Its ages since I've built a Tomcat and I have many to build, so I thouight I'd ease myself into the first build with Italieri's 1/48 F-14A, before I start messing with another Hasegawa kit. This one is going to be OOB apart from some improved burner cans, a little cockpit detailing and a AM decal sheet. I've always liked this scheme and I've never seen anyone else build it so I thought I'd give it a try. It will be posed with the wings swept back and the cockpit closed. Here's some pics of the markings and my progress so far: See you later, Darren.

Darren,
Excellent progress so far, I'm building a 32 Tamiya for a client as a 'Jolly Rogers' bird.

Thanks Sean, its not the best kit in the world, but its cheap! I build one years ago(now in my mates home office) in VF-31 markings. I thought I would try again but with a different approach(older, wiser) and so far its been an OK build. Apart from my first proper attempt at re-scribing panel lines! Still, I had to start somewhere..............
Regards,
Darren.

Ok, here's a liittle more progress on the F-14: Tail fins and burner cans painted and put on today. Also, the last of the sanding/touching up got finished on the airframe too. Once I tidy up the fins, I'll be able to gloss this one and get those markings on her. See you later, Darren.
