Zac,
Congratulations on an unusual build subject. I must say however, even though it is Airfix, that the glaring wing to fuselage seams coupled with the uneven paint on the canopy frame take away from the presentation. The airplane seems to be brush painted over filler that "reads through". I am curious as to why in your "flying" photo that there is no landing gear? I mean I know why you pulled the gear, but why photograph it showing the wheel wells? I would suggest some darkening to define the rudder and ailerons and elevators.
Sorry, but that is my opinion. This model looks like it was rushed, and I think it needs more detailing and basic build quality.

looks good mate, i did one of K5054 years ago in its bare metal guise, i used the hasegawa kit and did the conversion myself with no aftermarket parts. just spares box and filler. i used the same method you used for the tail wheel. thanks for sharing this one with us.

I saw that over on MM and I'm glad you've reposted it.
One day I may try the same thing, myself...

Even for an Airfix base the conversion looks good, the only 'Conversion' I have done to any Spit is make a Mk I into a Mk Va and a Mk Vb into a Mk IIb, by swapping the wings of both Tamiya kits.
