This is the older Tamiya 88 with the plastic barrel, Steve and Alex's beautiful 88s' made me bring it out so ya'll can laugh at the comparison , mine was the first model I ever built a little over a year ago, it was terrible! , I used it a coupla weeks ago to practice my AB, LOL. That's all it was good for.I think the second pic makes it look like it is under water, like in a pool!Have fun, Bill

I built the same kit a couple of years ago. I really like the paint on yours.

Thankyou Dave ;D, It was done freehand, using enamels, I am slowly switching to acrylics, just using the last of my enamels. Am having a little trouble with the acrylics, it spits little pieces of paint at times but doing ok otherwise, just have to get used to it I reckon.
Have fun,
Bill

Thx Rob, I hate bringing the few models I have completed up again and again, but...i'm vain! Steve, thx for the kind words, I admit there at least isn't any glue stuck all over the build but I didn't know too much about seams then, there are seam lines showing where I should have filled and sanded and of course as you can see there are missing parts that have been lost over time, that is why I say I might get the DML Flak and give it another try. I do love the camo scheme also, This is a camo scheme I have thought about doing on other builds, especially the 262 but, make the lines more "squiggly", I know there is a name for that particular scheme but I cannot remember it. Of course that would make them more of a "what if" than an actual representation, *sigh*. Alex, Well, it is true, ya'lls 88s' are very well built, in a contest the judges "might" be attracted to look at mine because of the paint job, but the second they bent down to look at it they would start to laff and walk off! and thats a fact! so, I think I will get one of those DML 88s' like you got and give it another whirl.
Have fun all, Bill
