alright guys, been some time since I've posted any kind of progress in this forum. Maybe you're wondering if I'm building at all! LOL Probably not.... anyway, this is the progress I have on my Panzer IV E. It's been added on to in terms of work since these pics were taken. I have the mud on the lower hull of the tank, the decals are full on. I just need to fine detail paint (finish the tools and highlight the tank then it's track time. They're almost built, but the jig is a little bit of a pain in the butt... anyway, here y'are can you guys figure out what barrell I used on this kit? Plastic or aluminum? I was a little bummed, I kinda hoped to have my Aircraft Recognition flag from Archer fine transfers come into the LHS, but the UPS guy was an idiot, so I bought a DAK Panzer I instead. Comments are more than welcome, this kit is going to be a competition piece next week at my IPMS meeting

From what I can see it looks like it is a good build. I especially like the finish. the dirt and weathering is very realistic. I would like to see some more photos of it If you could take them outside in the natural light I think that we would be able to see the details a lot better. Good luck at the competition next week. If you used the plastic barrel, you did a very good job on the seams. Either way it looks great.

Thanks animal, yeah it's the plastic barrel. I wanted the rifling that the aluminum one lacked for that extra little punch. Thanks for the comments, not to worry, when this is done, you'll see some better photo's, these were taken late at night and I didn't feel like setting up the back drop. I am just doing the tedious work of fine detail painting now, so soon you shall see it in it's finished state

Looks really great! The only thing I notice is the decals seem a bit bright, but that can be fixed. And in the second pic, the Jack seems to be a bit crooked, looks like its about to fall off!

heh, ya TTman, I wasn't finished with the detailing just as yet... never said it was finished! Umm thanks for the comments! I am just about finished, need to put the ties on for the AC recon. flag, and I dullcoated the decals after I finished putting them on tonight. Going to hit them with some powders to blend them in even more. You're right TTman, the jack was falling off, I fixed that too! good eye... the mud is all finished, all that is pretty well waiting paint is the tracks, and mud for the idlers and drive sprockets. Going to finish it tomorrow, and start on the base for it tomorrow too. I didn't think I'd have this done in time, but there's just a few things left, spare wheel, helmets on the front hooks. and the tracks!
