Great paint. Are you going to have the black stripes and black vinyl top also?

Once again, beautiful paint job, what brand paint did you use for it?

Believe it or not people, I used the new Model Masters line of paint. I let the model sit in the sun for about 4 hours before I sprayed it so the pastic was nice and warm. I'm convinced that made all the difference in the world. I am going to probably use the factory wheels on this car and leave it as a hard top without the vinyl roof option. I'm not very porficient at vinyl tops yet and don;t want to chance ruining this car trying to master that task. The engine has been painted as well in Hemi Orange and I will start working on that subassembly this coming week. I am going to try my hand at some extra little detailing jobs like throttle linkages, fuel lines and so forth for the 6-Pack setup. I painted the hood on the body to ensure equal coverage and the same shade of Moulin Rouge on the whole car. I hate not having the hood and body turn out different shades of the same color.

I'm glad to hear Model Masters new line of paints work so well, I'm about to use their Plum Crazy on a Challenger I'm working on.

That is a sweet color. Nice job laying it on that beast. I just finished this model. I actually rebuilt it, built it when i was in my teens, I lost abunch of parts so I built it as a Street Machine. Can't wait to see more.

Just a quick update on this purple wonder...I have been doing some detail painting and gluing some subassemblies together. Not really a whole lot new to show picture-wise though. Strangely, it seems I'm having a terrible time trying to keep track of the parts for this kit. I know...I know...it doesn't make sense, but I have been losing parts left and right for this project. I lost the glass, shifter, grille, distributor, alternator...just a lot of small parts for the most part with the exception of the grille and glass. Go figure.... Hopefully I'll have more serious work done on it over the weekend and Ic an show some more pics at this time...
