Thanks guys,
I don't know what is going on around here, but the military section of this site has sort of... well ...died. I posted this on the 3rd, and you guys are the only ones who have commented. Kind of puts the ice on stimulating discussion hey?

Steve!!!!! Man, I really wish you would leave that dang hot iron thingie alone, I am NEVER gonna catch up to you at this rate!!! Especially since I haven't got to build anything or paint anything for almost 8 months huh? Ha, glad to see you are still in the game, I was thinking on starting my Porsche turret KT as a coming back present to myself, but I dunno now...maybe something completely different. As usual, a beautiful job, you have the zimm done with the hot iron down to perfection!! I swear I am gonna have to go to Radio Shack and get one of those dudes, I just gotta try to remember what size tip it was you recommended, a long time ago...in a galaxy far, far...oh, wait...wrong Forum, ha. As soon as I relearn how to post pix again I will be letting ya'll know what I am building, gotta decide....Ow, head ...hurts... Hmmmm...Dragon T34/76.......interesting Cyas soon, Bill (Bluecorsair)

Steve, it looks great man! You really have the hot iron thing down, good show! I don't know why the military section isn't boomin either. I stopped posting when no one was responding to my stuff. Kind of selfish I guess.. but it's nice to hear comments on my stuff too if I'm going to post something about their stuff! Give and take I guess... I don't see you on FSM much either!

Hi James, It seems that when Bill disappeared out of this site, (I think he was the moderator for the military section) a lot of the participation dropped. I know he had some group builds started and they all just fizzled. I really like the small crowd of guys we have over here, but it seems like Armorama has all the armor freaks. I have cut back on my visits to Finescale, simply because our "old crew" seems to have disappeared over there after all the changes. I know I had a heck of a time re-registering and the people that are doing most of the posting over there in the armor forum are.....well.......different? I really have been limiting my input on that site due to the amount of 'Tamiya vs Dragon' posts and the like. Not to mention the hack like "over weathered" builds which are juvenile in thier nature and incomplete in construction.....but still get the "great job" comments-which just encourage more of the same. (Sorry, a little grouchy today). You have to have noticed that Swanny, Pixitaler, Dwight ta la, as well as Brian ,Eric and Alex are sparse contributors now too. I notice that you have cut back as well. I cringe at some of the responses that you received on those great IDF builds you've posted-I just don't have the patience to read ignorant statements and criticisms. I would really like to hang out here with a cool bunch of guys, but the military section is still weak. Too bad, this is a great site and the features, useability, well everything is just great here. It's really more of a car guy site I guess. Oh well, get that latest Merk painted and finished....can't wait to see it! regards, Steve

You couldn't have explained it better than you did Steve! FSM is very annoying with the "please help me pick a kit to build" Newbie stuff.... Armorama I can't go to anymore... I got banned there because of what I thought was a discrepency in their Model of the Month contest... Jim starkweather took it personally, when there was no intention. So even if I was unbanned I wouldn't go back there, though it is pretty hoppin. Yeah when bill dropped off, things died of militarily on this forum, but it is the summer too. I'm just about finished with my Merk IV, so keep your eyes out! Where are you posting the most?

Well I just saw after I posted yesterday that the "blue corsair" is back, so maybe the sight will take off again with his energy and input. I didn't know about the Armorama thing, but I do know they are a sensitive bunch over there. I have applied to the Axis forum on missing lynx and was denied outright. I ticked somebody off @ finescale and he blackballed me over on missing lynx (good buddies with the moderator). I just read and look mostly now, I've got a nice Pz III in Afrika markings coming off the bench soon, I will probably post it here and on finescale. Anyway my friend, keep your chin up and keep turning out those beautiful builds.....see you later Steve
