other than a few problems that typically come with resin, I will say that it went together like a dream!!! There was a 2-3mm fit problem with the left rear side panel where the last sideskirt is attached. I had to fill it with milliput and sand it to shape. Other than that, I think I have finally gotten the hang of building resin kits and such. Thanks for the comments Ron!

It's so nice to see your Models back on these pages.... Man Its beautiful!.. looks like a 1:1 if it was outside in the dirt! ha,ha... Great weathering, really love the Color....What is the "balls and chains"hanging under the #3 and around the back?!..I've never seen them before and think their super looking, what ever their reason!.... Really looks impressive... I'm not familiar with Legends models or Resin Models either...Are they a kit or a finished model that was made from a mold? What ever it is, it looks Real!.. Even to the dented covers in back. and the whole model looks different than a Plastic kit.... So much more detail and life like.. Please forgive my ignorance to Resin models, Ive worked with it in aftermarket goodies for my cars & trucks and now will be using PE for the first time too, for my military models.. That was why I asked in General information 'Military' about Photo Etched aftermarket 'tool box's' and other 'PE' after its bent into shape, do I solder or glue it to hold it together? I do know to use Crazy glue type glue's to attach the finished PE to the Plastic model ..Cirikili said to use CA to hold them together..Weeeg said to solder with silver solder.... What do you do? Solder or Glue your PE? And if you do solder..What kind? Silver solder with acid or a acid paste? Thank you in advance LOL.. .."RC"

I'm Sorry to double post, but as I'm looking, I keep finding more and more detail..Like the remote to the .50 cal......The wires leading up and to the remote hooked to the handle's to fire it!.... I saw the smaller MG by the hatch theres no hatch by the .50...I was wondering how a person could get to the .50 Cal MG to fire it without laying outside on top of the Tank! Then, as I looked closer, I saw the wire... Man.. The more I look at it, the more detail's and realism I'm finding.. Really a super job you've done to this Model... "RC"

WOW RC, thanks for the comments! First of all, the ball and chains are used by the IDF to react to the RPG's shot into the shot trap that the Merkava has on the back of the turret. It's a cheap, yet effective way to stop a devastating blow to the tank. They were made by small chain and balls glued to them then hung and glued to the PE fret attached to the basket. It's really the bane of all IDF modelers. As for the kit, it came in pieces, but less than a plastic kit... but more complicated! It didn't take too long to get the basic shape and build done, but the more finiky details took the most time! As for the PE, I use CA glue to hold them. I have thought about soldering but, to be honest, I'm leary, though I know I would get a great bond and wouldn't have to rebuild the finiky baskets and such on these tanks! I couldn't tell you about what kind of solder to use though... sorry! Good luck with the PE, take it slow and steady and keep your cool... that's how you stop losing parts IMHO.. and thanks again for the great comments about my build!
