Totally awesome. I love it. While we're on the topic let's make this a guntruck topic forum so everyone can post their version of a guntruck. Again really nice build. I'm jealous. Those Italeri kits do come in handy, don't they?

Looking great! Nice weathering, how did you make the windshield wiper marks?

A very nice example of one of the first generation gun trucks in Iraq. The only thing to correct is the cargo floor as the kit maker messed it up. A thin piece of plastic stock will fix that. I like the way you left the steel in a natural rusty finish. Just like the real trucks. The paint and weathering is subtle and realistic. Bravo and three cheers!!!

Looking great! Nice weathering, how did you make the windshield wiper marks? Hi Dan, I first cut the wiper masks out out of thin low tack plastic and applied them to the windshield, then applied a thin airbrushing of Vallejo Matt Varnish. Before the varnish had dried completely, I used a dry paintbrush and pulled some of the varnish across the windshield conforming to the correct arc of the wiper arm. When the varnish was dry, I dusted a small amount of Mig 'Desert Sand' pastel across the windshield giving that dusty feel. The whole truck was weathered using Vallejo paints and Mig pigment. The truck will feature in a forthcoming article in 'Military Modelcraft International' magazine, I believe it will be the January 2006 issue. Many thanks for your comments guys, I've only recently converted to 1:35 after building in 1:25 and larger for many years. The truck bed will hopefully be corrected before the IPMS/UK Nationals later this month. Incidentally, anyone from the other side of the pond attending the show, please come over to the Derby & District table, you'll be made welcome. Nick.
