First of all, merry christmas and happy new year. Hopw you all had a wondeful holiday. Well guys. I've completed another great build. Took roughtly 35 hours to do, give or take, but it was worth it. The model in question is the MTVF, which stands for Mobile Tactical Light Fitters Vehicle. It is a new variant based on M113 and the M548 chassi. This variant can be built entirely new or can be modified using the original M113 or M548 chassi, as I mentioned beofre. There are two versions of this model. The MTVC ( Mobile Tactical Vehicle Light, Cargo Carrier) and the MTVF (Mobile Tactical Light Fitters Vehicle). The one I modelled is based on the MTVF which naturally is a modified version of the M113 Fitter. As you would notice, the original M113 have 5 road wheels. The MTVF has 6 on each side for a total of 12. So I had to take two M113 kits, which i already had in my scrap box, and spliced them in two and then joined the different halves together. As usual i used what I had on hand in my misc. box - cardboard, styrene and some other small details here and there. As always there are no pics of this variant other than drawings I got off the net. Since this is a new variant, at least I think so since I could not find any other concrete info than what was on their homepage. You can view the info at this link: www.uniteddefense.com/www.m113.com/mtvf.htmlAgain I went ahead and put mine directly into service. I just love the 'used look' The result is what you see below. So enjoy the pics.

Very nice build and modification! Is the vehicle glued to the base? I see that your armors always come with a base. You must have hundreds of bases by now. ;-)

Thanks. No it doesn't come with a base. The model isn't glued yet because I'm still doing some work on it.

Very nice work. You have done some great scratchbuilding. Too bad the US Army would have no intention of buying this variant, but , perhaps it might appeal to foreign governments.

It' more a cargo then a fitter varient that I mention in my first post. The problem with the subjects I model is there is not enough info about them. Oh well.
