Thanks for the kind words. This one took just about a year to complete. The Brutus was one of the better known trucks in Nam. It had been destroyed on three different occasions and the crew and truck had a Million dollar bounty put on it.

Well I used a cotton ball. from the opening or rupture I glued the cotton. After it was dried I pulled up on it to give it height and to make it thin and transparent. After I was satisfied with the look, I airbrushed it with a very light coat of flat black. I continued with very light coats of grays, making them lighter as I worked my way up to the top of the "smoke". Then I used a thin round paint brush and dabbed on the b right red and added some white to the red and lighten this up toward the top also. I them added the yellow in random places. After this was all dried I used a pair of tweezers to pull on the smoke and flames to get the look you see in the photo. I realize that it does not look exactly like fire and smoke but it was the best that I could come up with. I know of some guys that actually add a smoke machine inside the model with red LED lights to get a fantastic effect. But this would not work on a closed display in the Museum. I hope this helps some.
